Week 10 October 20-23

 Hello families! I can't believe that the first nine weeks has come to an end! I have seen so much progress these first weeks and I am so proud! Everyone is working so hard and I hope everyone is just as pleased as I am! 

REMINDERS 

Report cards will be sent home on MONDAY! I know the weekly letter says Tuesday, but since we just discovered the new schedule,
I didn't have time to change the letter.

We will be having school Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (October 26-28) Students will not come on Thursday and Friday (October 29-20) 

Tuesday October 27 will be picture retakes. If you were absent or would like a different photo we will make sure you get the retake option! 

This week, I have introduced the letter L to the class. Please continue to work with your child on the capital letter, little letter, and sound. This coming week I will be introducing the L and vowel blends. I have posted them below as well as in your child's folder! Everyone is doing very well with the T blends!

Our Bible verse this week will be Luke 11:28 "Blessed are they that hear the Word of God, and keep it."

Week 9 October 13-16

 Hello families! Another great week has come and gone. We are learning so much and I am so proud of everyone! Everyone is working so hard in class and I am seeing a lot of improvement!

Just a few Reminders 

Tuesday October 20th we will be going on a field trip. We will be meeting at the pumpkin patch at 9:30. You DO NOT bring your child to school that day. After the field trip ends at 12:30, you will take your child home. They DO NOT need to report to school! 

The nine week period ends on October 23. Report cards will go home on October 27!

This week we have been working on our first consonant! I have introduced the letter "T" to our class this week. Please go over the capital T, little t, and the sound T makes. We have also been working on our blends. Blends are a consonant and a vowel put together to make a sound. This will help your child with their reading! Please go over the blends as well! 

Our Bible Verse this week is Psalm 118:1 "O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good."

Week 8 October 6-9

 Hello families! I hope everyone enjoyed the Grandparents Day Program as much as we did. I am so proud of your kiddos for doing their song and their motions in front of such a big crowd! Next week is a normal school week, so I will see your babies on Tuesday bright and early! I hope you enjoy your weekend! 

This coming week we will start learning the consonants in our alphabet! I have sent home a lost of the first 5 consonants we will be learning so you can start practicing at home. As always, I will start to send home letter cards when we introduce each individual letter. 

Our Bible Verse this week is Isaiah 43:5 "Fear not: for I am with thee."

October Snack Schedule

 

Week 7 September 29- October 2

 Another week down! We had a great week in Pre-K. All the kiddos did such a good job with tie dying today! I can't wait to see their finished products. I will take the shirts home tonight, wash them, and have them for the kids to change into on Friday morning before the program. 

  REMINDER:

 GRANDPARENTS DAY IS FRIDAY OCTOBER 9th. THE TIME HAS BEEN CHANGED TO 10:00 AM IN THE NEW GYM. THERE WILL BE AN EARLY DISMISSAL AT NOON!

 

This week, we have started the letter "O". Please review the capital "O", little "o", and the sound "O" makes. Students will also be evaluated on all their vowels and vowel sounds on October 7th. Please use the paper I sent home to review with your kiddo.

Our Bible Verse this week is Philippians 4:19 "My God shall supply all your needs." 

Everyone is doing very well with their verses! Keep up the good work!

Week 6 September 22-25

 We had such a fun, full week here in Pre-K! I hope your kiddos had as much fun as I did learning about Johnny Appleseed! We made play doh, crafts, and applesauce. I am so proud of everyone and how well they are doing in the classroom. Thank you to the parents who took time to chat at parent teacher conferences. As always, please reach out if you ever need anything!

  REMINDERS: 

Pleases send in a white t-shirt by FRIDAY OCTOBER 2 so we can tie dye them for Grandparents Day! 

Grandparents Day will be on October 9th at 9:00 AM in the New Gym. Your child will be released at Noon for an early dismissal!

This week we have been working on the letter "A". Please use the flash card that is attached to your child's folder to practice the capital A, lower case a, and sound at home. 

Our Bible verse this week is Psalm 23:1 "The Lord is my shepherd."

Week 5 September 15-16

What a short week! Hopefully, this LOOONNNGGG break will do us teachers and our students some good! I know we are all tired and ready for a little break. With that being said, I am so proud of your kiddos. They are all working so hard and I appreciate their effort and yours. I do not say this enough, but THANK YOU for choosing Christian Education for your family! 

REMINDERS

• Parent teacher conferences are on September 24th. Please call the office to schedule your time slot. 
• Grandparents Day is October 9th at 9:00 in the New Gym. Please join us in celebrating our grandparents and your kiddos. Make sure you have RSVPed the number of guests so we can accommodate all the grandparents with a gift. Students will be dismissed after the program for an early out!  
• White shirts are due before October 2nd so that we can dye them and have them ready for Grandparents Day (the shirt is for your child to wear).

I am keeping our Bible verse the same due to such a short week.

We are continuing vowels and their sounds. Please keep reviewing these at home. We will be reading before you know it!

Grandparents Day Reminders

 

Week 4 September 8-11

Hello families! We are chugging right along here in Pre-K! I can't tell you how proud I am of your kiddos! We are to the point in the year where everyone is getting to know each other's names, personalities, and creating friendships. Just a reminder that there is NO SCHOOL THURSDAY THE 17th OR FRIDAY THE 18th! Pre-K will resume on Tuesday the 22nd. 

This week we have been introducing vowels and their sounds. These special letters will soon help your kiddo learn to read. PLease practice these letters and their sounds at home. 

This week's Bible verse is Psalm 18:30 "As for God, His way is perfect."
